Labor and Social Development Minister and Labor Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) Board of Directors Chairman Jamil bin Mohammad Ali Humaidan met Bahrain’s United Nations (UN) Activities Resident Coordinator Khalid El Mekwad. The meeting reviewed cooperation between the ministry and the UN Office in Bahrain. The two parties discussed the technical support provided by the organization to the Kingdom in the labor fields and human resource development and stressed the importance of implementing strategic policies, in line with relevant national legislation and laws.Humaidan reviewed the most prominent projects and initiatives undertaken by the Kingdom in the employment field, human resource development, and the achievements made in light of the economic recovery plan and the national labor market plan. He praised the organization’s efforts in promoting development activities with regards to labor issues, developing the work environment, and providing various types of labor technical support. El Mekwad stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation in the labor field and praised Bahrain’s global efforts in developing labor structures.
