The latest data released by the Agricultural Jihad Ministry show Iran exported 7.66 million tons of agricultural and food products worth US$4.71 billion during the 11 months to Feb. 19. The figures indicate a 3.15% decline in tonnage and a 15.54% fall in value year-on-year. Pistachios topped the list of exports in terms of value with US$851.69 million. Tomato was the second major agricultural export product in terms of value with US$349.85 million, followed by dates with US$255.2 million, apple with US$243.3 million and watermelon with US$193.37 million. - Financial Tribune
