Iranian Petchem Complex Succeeds to Localize 200 Parts

The head of the Nouri Petrochemical Complex said over 80% of the catalysts and chemicals used in the complex are supplied domestically, adding that over 200 new items have been so far localized in the complex since the beginning of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 21.

Abdolmajid Khaksar said the company is one of the largest petrorefineries in the world that is fed by 4.5 million tons of gas condensate annually.

He stated that aromatics are counted as upstream industries in the petrochemical industry, saying: “Nouri supplies petrochemical feedstocks to Tondgouyan petrochemical complex and liquid petrochemical feedstock to Jam petrochemical complex.

The head of Nouri Petrochemical Complex stated that more than 80% of the catalysts and chemicals required by the complex have been localized, noting: "We have set a goal for localization every year and in the current calendar year, we have succeeded in localizing 200 parts." - Shana
