Iran's national flag carrier, Iran Air, launched new biweekly flights from the Persian Gulf island of Kish to Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, travelling every Sunday and Wednesday.According to Director General of Public Relations Department of Iran Air Hossein Jahani, the airline put the Kish-Dubai twice a week flights in its winter schedule regarding various potentials of the southern province of Hormouzgan. Speaking to IRNA, Jahani referred to the economic, commercial and tourism potentials of Hormouzgan Province, and responding positively to the demands of the Kish Island merchants and residents, as the main reasons for establishing the Kish-Dubai flights. The flights will be carried out by ATR planes and will depart from Kish International Airport at 4:40 p.m. on Sundays and will return the same day at 7:50 p.m., said the official. According to Jahani, the Wednesdays’ flights will take off from Kish Island at 3:20 p.m. and return at 6:30 p.m. - Iran Daily
