Fire Contained at Iran's South Pars 11

Fire was quickly contained at MD-1 drilling rig in SPD11B platform of SP Phase(s) 11 on 5 May, the Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) said.

The rig belongs to MAPNA Drilling Company. Fire started from the engine room of the rig. No damage and casualties were reported. Initial estimate indicates that generators supplying electricity to the rig overheated. - Shana
