Iran Terephthalate Portfolio to Become Diversified

Head of the Research and Development office of Shahid Tondgouyan Petrochemical Company announced production of several new grades of polyethylene terephthalate chain products in the plant.

“Iran has joined the club of countries active in research, testing and production of biodegradable polyethylene terephthalate, said Abdullah Sheykhnejad Moghaddam, according to Shahid Tondgouyan Petrochemical Company.

He outlined the company’s main plans for diversifying the production portfolio of the polyethylene terephthalate chain, saying: “With regard to the policies and plans instructed by the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (PGPIC), certain items are being studies for commercial and industrial production.”

He said PET film grade (Bo PET films) for packaging and food industries and FH PET grade (bottle grade) with the aim of reducing production costs are among these items. - Shana
