Libya Focused on Ras Lanuf Projects & Restarting Petchem Facilities

The Libyan National Oil Corp Chairman of the Board of Directors, Eng. Mustafa Sanallah, held a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ras Lanuf Oil and Gas Manufacturing, Shaaban Basebso and Mohamed Awad, a member of the Board of Directors of the company, to discuss, most notably, the budgets and financial resources needed by Ras Lanuf to complete maintenance work in some of its facilities, and to complete and implement projects.

The attendees also discussed the general activity of the company, the challenges it faces, and the effective ways to overcome them, and the ongoing maintenance and preparations for re-opening the polyethylene and ethylene plants, which will contribute to increasing the production capacity, in addition to creating job opportunities for the private sector, and spatial development in the region.
