Swedish Transport Agency: Flight Stop between Sweden & Iran Canceled

The Swedish Transport Agency cancels the temporary flight stop to Iran. Flights between Sweden and Iran are therefore again possible. The authority decided to temporarily revoke the air condition of Iran Air on January 10 after a Ukrainian passenger plane crashed near the Iranian capital Tehran. The decision was made in a situation where the Swedish Transport Agency did not consider that civil air traffic could be conducted at an "acceptable level of safety", says Gunnar Ljungberg, Director of Maritime and Aviation at the Swedish Transport Agency, in a press release. “After that, the course of events surrounding the plane crash has cleared. Following the removal of the set restriction, the Iranian flag carrier will resume flights to Stockholm and Gothenburg in Sweden.
