Saudi's Yanbu to Witness Establishment of Wind Power Facility

Saudi Arabia’s Royal Commission for Yanbu has signed an investment agreement with a local steel company to set up a wind power production plant at a total cost of SAR 145 million (US$38.6 million).

Commercial production at the factory is expected to commence by the end of the second quarter (Q2) of 2023, state-run news agency SPA reported on Tuesday.

This partnership comes as part of the royal commission’s efforts to diversify investment in Yanbu Industrial City.

The name of the local steel firm was not disclosed.
