Qatar Airways Cargo to Begin Operations in KSA, UAE & Egypt

Qatar Airways Cargo will recommence cargo sales and bookings from 21 February 2021 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Egypt with the appointment of general sales agents (GSAs) in these countries.

The letter of appointment has been awarded to the following GSAs:

• Globe Air Cargo, ECS Group Subsidiary – for the United Arab Emirates
• Yusuf Bin Kanoo co. Ltd – for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
• Venus Air Cargo – for the Arab Republic of Egypt

Guillaume Halleux, Qatar Airways Chief Officer Cargo said: “The resumption of passenger flights to these three countries is great news, allowing us to re-establish trade and support our customers. Along with the flights, we will also be offering trucking services to and from other offline points within these countries. We are pleased to appoint these GSAs who have an excellent reputation and share the common values of customer centricity and service excellence. We are certain that they will help promote the Qatar Airways Cargo brand further and grow our footprint.”

The cargo carrier operates belly-hold flights to Riyadh and Jeddah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, and Alexandria and Cairo in Egypt. Qatar Airways Cargo will start accepting cargo bookings for transporting freight into and out of these three countries through its appointed general sales agents.
