Qatari German Medical Devices Company held its ordinary general assembly during which it approved among other things its “future plans”. The ordinary general assembly was presided over by Talal Subah al-Abdullah, company vice-chairman. Board members and representatives of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry were present. Al-Abdullah made a presentation on the financial position of Qatari German Medical Devices Company and its future plans. He expressed his appreciation for all concerned including the BoD members, shareholders and employees who contributed to the company’s development so far. Besides, the auditors’ report for the financial year that ended on December 31, 2019 was approved.The company’s Corporate Governance Report for 2019 was also discussed and approved. Also, the election of the Board Members for the vacant positions (in the current membership for the remaining period until 2021) was also held. The following were elected through “cumulative voting” as follows: Ali Hassan al-Emadi (independent shareholder member — winning member with the number of shares (60,000) on the Board of Directors); and Noora Abdullah al-Mulla (independent member not owning shares) as reserved independent member in the event of a vacancy in the Board of Directors. The meeting also appointed Talal Abu Ghazaleh International Company as external auditors for Qatari German Medical Devices Company for the financial year 2020 (renewed for the second year).
