Construction of Marjan Petrochemical Project is being completed and the plant will soon become commercially operational. The cryogenic air separation unit (ASU) of the plant came online earlier this week, reported the National Petrochemical Company (NPC). The utility required for running the plant was primarily supposed to be supplied from a concentrated unit but after the unit was privatized, it was decided that an ASU unit be constructed in the unit for supplying utilities such as oxygen. The plant is being constructed with 1.65 million tons of annual production capacity at phase 2 of Assaluyeh, southern Iran. - Shana
