Petronas Picking Up Stake in Algeria

Cepsa entered into an agreement with Malaysia’s Petronas to buy its 35% stake in the Bir El Msana oil field, located in Algeria’s Berkine Basin, 300 km east of Hassi Massaoud.

The Bir El Msana field, which started production in July 2015, currently produces around 12,500 bpd. Cepsa recently saw the Timimoun field come onstream in Algeria.
